The Ministry of Energy, Science & Technology and Public Utilities is extending an invitation to ALL Belizeans between the ages of 18 – 40 to submit an application based on criteria set forth in the flyer attached to participate in the 2014 GIST Tech I Competition.
ICT ROADSHOW 2014
The Ministry of Energy, Science & Technology and Public Utilities in collaboration with the Caribbean Telecommunication Union is pleased to announce that the third ICT Road Show will be held on March 24-28, 2014. The Road Show will take place in Punta Gorda Town, Belize City and Corozal District. All are welcomed!
Student Program for Innovation in Science and Engineering (SPISE)
SPISE 2014 STUDENT APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2014
The annual Student Program for Innovation in Science and Engineering (SPISE) is an intensive four-week enrichment residential summer program for gifted Caribbean high-school students who are interested in studying and exploring careers in science and engineering. The goal is to help address the low numbers of Caribbean students pursuing advanced degrees in science and engineering, and to groom the next generation of science, engineering technology and business leaders in the Region. Students who gain admission to SPISE are among the top scholars in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) in the Region.
Launch of Solar Design, Installation and Maintenance Course
The Ministry is particularly pleased and proud about this training course in solar PV. Ever since the establishment of the Ministry of Energy, Science & Technology and Public Utilities (MESTPU) both Minister Grant and I were and are adamant about improving the capacity of Belizeans in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
